Overview

Synopsis

When gruesome remains are all that's left of a hunting group, it's the last straw in a series of unexplained events deep in the remote forests of Western Canada.

Unable to make sense of the "unnatural" happenings, the local authorities seek unconventional help in the form of Dr. Lance Baird, an acclaimed expert in the field of Cryptozoology.

The findings begin to point toward an omitted element in one of the greatest scientific theories known to man.

Nice tease! Beautiful cinematography, timelapse in the woods. Curious as how to you managed 2 high angle shots! Not sure if "the hunt" is the main part of the story or a preamble. Is the scientist the real focus of the hunt.

Some decent suspense building about mid-way through, but overall, a little weak. Not sure who the main characters are - thought it was the three hunters but they all get killed off, the cryptozoologist comes in too late for us to get invested in him. The acting and camera work a little rough around the edges, this is one of those films I'd recommend be shot on Super 16mm (even B&W) which would be more forgiving and better set up the mood and feeling of the film.

This looks like a very suspenseful movie. I like the music and cinematography. I hope that the rest of the plot is intense and that the actors are convincing. Good work.

Great preview, but ... the Dr. Baird scene was really stilted. Need a different actor? Or see if this one can relax a little more on camera?

As cheesy as the premise is, I thought you guys really had a shot a this. Turns out I was wrong. Everything about this trailer breaks down right as the first character gets killed. It's a shame really. I was hoping for something in the vein of Tucker and Dale as I watched the intro, but it turned out to be more schlock.

I think some people are being too hard on trailers that A) aren't fully fleshed out, and B) aren't of the highest quality. To me, you guys seem like what normal competitors should be like in this competition. You created suspense and a decent setup to what I assume your film WILL be about, with very little at your disposal. Good luck!
